The short version: your PDFs are opened and edited entirely inside your browser. They are never uploaded to SheafPDF or anyone else. We literally cannot see them.
Your documents
Every operation — combining, splitting, reordering, rotating, deleting, extracting, and inserting pages — runs locally on your device using your browser's own capabilities. Your files are held in memory only for the duration of your session and are discarded when you close or refresh the tab. No document ever leaves your machine.
What we do collect
If you create an account, our authentication provider stores your email address to sign you in. If you subscribe to Pro, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your billing details — we never see or store your card number. We also collect anonymous, aggregate usage analytics (page views and feature events) that contain no document content.
Third parties
We rely on a small number of service providers for hosting, sign-in, payments, and analytics. Each receives only the limited data needed to do its job, and never your documents.
